A musical journey from east to north

Tuesday, August 12, 20.30 – 21.30 Lyngvig Kirke

kr.100,00

Availability: In stock

In the atmospheric space of Lyngvig Church, the evening offers a journey from Eastern European tradition to Nordic poetry. Dvořák and Bartók bring forth the best of Czech and Hungarian chamber music in luminous trios for two violins and viola – works filled with character, rhythm, and warmth.

Also featured are duos for violin and viola: Ole Buck’s Flowers – one of his most poetic works – and music by award-winning Anette Slaatto, inspired by trees, birdsong and the light movement of the wind.

The concert also includes a special tribute to Per Nørgård (1932–2025), one of the Nordic region’s greatest composers. With his infinite tonal language and deep humanism, Nørgård has left an indelible mark on the modern music world. This evening, we commemorate his life’s work with a brief excerpt from The Secret Melody.
